Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

Join a collaborative, safety‑focused civil construction organisation delivering major projects across Australia. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will manage end‑to‑end recruitment for operational, pre‑contract and corporate positions, ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle recruitment from briefing through to offer, including creating position descriptions and targeted advertisements.
• Source candidates via SEEK, LinkedIn and professional networks, build talent pools, and approach passive or international talent.
• Support visa sponsorship processes, coordinate interviews, references and pre‑employment checks.
• Coach hiring managers on recruitment best practices and maintain accurate records in the recruitment system.
• Develop relationships with agencies, universities and community partners, and provide market insights.

Required profile

• Previous internal talent acquisition experience, preferably within civil engineering or construction.
• Proven ability to manage high recruitment volumes and competing priorities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Knowledge of fair work and anti‑discrimination requirements.
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or related field.

Required skills

• End‑to‑end recruitment capability.
• Experience with PageUp or a similar recruitment system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate).
• Use of SEEK, LinkedIn and other professional networking tools for sourcing.
