Talent Acquisition Consultant

About the role

WSP is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Consultant to join its People team in Australia. The role will support end‑to‑end recruitment, workforce planning and talent sourcing across a range of professional and technical disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders and hiring managers to design and execute recruitment strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and assessment to offer and onboarding.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines through proactive market mapping, networking and vendor management.
• Provide expert advice on best practices, assessment methods and hiring decisions.
• Analyse market trends to inform workforce planning and talent attraction initiatives.
• Utilise ATS and recruitment technology to track candidates, generate reports and develop talent pools.
• Lead domestic and international talent campaigns while ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance with policies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in internal or agency recruitment, preferably within professional services, engineering, infrastructure or technical environments.
• Proven ability to build candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing and market mapping.
• Strong behavioural interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
• Experience using recruitment systems and data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and consulting capabilities.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and project management ability.
