Workforce Planning Specialist

About the role

The Workforce Planning Specialist will lead strategic workforce planning across Flying Bark’s studios in Sydney, Los Angeles and Madrid. Reporting to the Global Recruitment Manager, the role provides executive‑level visibility of internal and external crewing capability and drives data‑driven resourcing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain workforce plans and scenario models for upcoming productions, ensuring resources are allocated ahead of greenlights.
• Partner with Production, People & Culture, Recruitment and IT to deliver scheduling and budget forecasts, and translate workforce data into actionable insights.
• Own global workforce planning processes, create dashboards and reporting tools, and lead automation and system‑implementation projects.

Required profile

• Significant experience in workforce planning, resource management or production scheduling, preferably within animation, VFX or film/TV.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills with a proven ability to turn complex data into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management, project management and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including complex formulas and modelling.
• Experience with automation tools, system implementation or process‑improvement initiatives.
