Systems Engineer – Infrastructure Team

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is looking for a passionate Systems Engineer to join its Infrastructure team in Australia. You will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of a diverse set of platforms and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day administration, troubleshooting, and patching of servers and applications.
• Security patching and software updates outside of business hours.
• Occasional datacenter work for hardware upgrades and maintenance.
• Adopt a security‑first mindset for all changes and deployments.
• Identify configuration issues and propose improvements.
• Create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation.
• Upskill on new applications deployed by the team.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver optimal solutions.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship and willingness to obtain NV1 security clearance.
• Solid experience with Linux server operating systems and Veeam Backup suite.
• Strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
• Curiosity, failure‑mode thinking, and a proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Detail‑oriented, independent, and able to take ownership of tasks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills; certifications are a plus.
• Exposure to Suse Rancher, Harvester, or Kubernetes is desirable but not required.
