Systems Engineer - Enterprise Applications Support

About the role

PSI, a Contract Research Organization with about 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, is looking for a knowledgeable, proactive and self-motivated Systems Engineer to join its Systems Development team. The role provides technical support for enterprise applications, troubleshoots application issues and takes part in testing and implementation activities. The company's in-house projects include web and desktop apps, ERP and BPM systems, document management systems and AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for off-the-shelf software packages
• Install Tier 3 and some Tier 4 information systems and carry out user training
• Install and support specialized systems such as special warehouse systems
• Monitor software updates and releases and recommend migration or purchase of new software
• Study the validation status of CFR 21 Part 11 applicable to information systems
• Review client-provided IT equipment, deliver user training and give further equipment support
• Carry out regular technical audits of departments to check compliance with PSI standards on specialized equipment and Tier 3-4 systems

Required profile

• University or college degree in Computer Science or IT
• Solid technical background
• Experience supporting business applications, software platforms or enterprise systems
• Prior systems analysis experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to work in a service-oriented, customer-focused environment

Required skills

• Experience with Jira, Service Desk and Confluence or similar products is a plus
• Experience in systems development and systems validation is a plus
• SQL query creation is a plus
• Testing experience (test cases and test script execution) is a plus
