Systems Engineer – Cloud and Virtualisation

About the role

The Cloud and Virtualisation Systems Engineer will support the design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Northern Health’s hybrid cloud and virtualisation infrastructure, ensuring high availability for patient care. The role also provides 3rd‑level support for both on‑prem and cloud systems within the ICT Infrastructure team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain hybrid cloud and virtualisation solutions across multiple hospital campuses.
• Provide 3rd‑level troubleshooting and support for on‑premise and cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal service disruption.

Required profile

• Proven experience with cloud and virtualisation technologies.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast‑paced health‑care environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Server stack (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PKI, DFS, IIS).
• Cloud platforms and virtualisation tools (e.g., Azure, VMware, Hyper‑V).
