Systems Administrator

About the role

The Systems Administrator will report to the Head of Information Technology and play a key part in maintaining a stable, secure and high‑performing IT environment for William Buck in Adelaide.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain enterprise core servers, storage, virtualization and cloud platforms to ensure seamless operations.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra and Microsoft 365 services.
• Implement and monitor security controls for systems, identities and access.
• Respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and provide Tier 2/3 escalation support.
• Assist the service desk during peak periods and handle escalation tickets.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations and lifecycle refresh projects.
• Develop and keep up‑to‑date technical documentation and configuration records.
• Strengthen disaster‑recovery plans and ensure business continuity readiness.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server or ITIL are highly desirable.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in systems administration or equivalent infrastructure roles.
• Demonstrated commitment to staying current with emerging technologies.
