Systems Administrator I – Cloud & Security Focus

About the role

Wenco International Mining Systems is seeking a Systems Administrator I to support end‑user systems and cloud services in a security‑first environment. Reporting to the IT Director, you will ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT assets while adhering to ISO 27001 controls.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1‑2 support and manage ITSM tickets within SLA targets.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and contribute to the knowledge base.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID (MFA, Conditional Access, SSO) and manage onboarding/off‑boarding processes.
• Support privileged access management, RBAC enforcement and access reviews.
• Configure and monitor Intune and JAMF for device compliance, Autopilot deployment and application distribution.
• Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, Teams and SharePoint.
• Handle security operations such as Defender alerts, incident triage and basic threat response.
• Maintain core infrastructure (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, virtualization) and backup solutions (Veeam or equivalent).
• Develop PowerShell automation scripts and execute change‑management procedures.
• Produce audit evidence and assist with compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of Helpdesk or Systems Administration experience.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, security best practices and basic networking.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
