System Administrator (TSPV Cleared) – Canberra

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on System Administrator to support a highly secure government programme in Canberra. The role requires an autonomous technical practitioner who can manage complex environments while maintaining the highest security standards. You will ensure the stability, integrity and performance of infrastructure that underpins nationally significant outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Manage servers, applications and databases.
• Support virtualised infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot issues across OS, infrastructure and application layers.
• Provide foundational support for networking and connectivity components.
• Assist with identity and access management at a foundational level.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts.
• Produce and keep technical documentation up to date.
• Ensure reliable operation of systems within secure environments.

Required profile

• Trusted professional able to operate confidently in sensitive, high‑security contexts.
• Strong experience as a generalist Systems Administrator.
• Hands‑on expertise with both Linux and Windows environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues end‑to‑end.
• Experience in Defence, National Security or highly regulated government settings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Active or reactivatable TSPV clearance.
