System Administrator – Hybrid, Sydney

About the role

You will join a well‑established organisation that is expanding its internal IT function across multiple regions. The role focuses on day‑to‑day operation, stability and security of the company’s Microsoft‑centric infrastructure while supporting users and business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Hybrid Active Directory environments.
• Manage and maintain servers, virtualisation platforms and core infrastructure services.
• Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot incidents and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Support endpoint management, device compliance and user lifecycle processes.
• Assist with backup operations, validation and disaster‑recovery readiness.
• Work with existing security frameworks and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Collaborate with local and regional teammates to deliver a stable, well‑supported environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator in complex, Microsoft‑focused environments.
• Strong hands‑on skills with M365, Entra ID, Intune and Hybrid AD configuration and policy management.
• Solid background in server infrastructure, virtualisation, patching, upgrades and performance tuning.
• Ability to handle L3 escalations, conduct root‑cause analysis and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Experience with backup solutions and disaster‑recovery processes.
