Sydney Trains Security Officer (Night Shift)

About the role

MSS Security, one of Australia's leading security companies, is recruiting Security Officers for its Sydney Trains team. The role helps protect critical rail infrastructure by detecting and preventing vandalism, trespassing and other unlawful activity. Part-time night-shift positions are available in Blacktown, Campbelltown, Mossvale, Sydenham and Waterfall.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct covert surveillance and patrols across the Sydney Rail network
• Deploy and monitor CCTV, respond to live alerts and incidents, and report details through an app-based tool
• Liaise with Sydney Trains SCC, MSS management and NSW Police
• Maintain vehicle and equipment readiness
• Follow all rail safety and confidentiality protocols

Required profile

• NSW Class 1A security licence
• First aid certificate
• Reliable, discreet and able to work night shifts
• Full Australian work rights

Required skills

• Strong observation, communication and reporting skills
• CCTV monitoring and incident reporting
