Support Worker (Adult & Children's Services)

About the role

Westhaven, a provider of disability support and accommodation across regional NSW, is looking for Support Workers for its Adult and Children's Services. The role offers a mix of formal training and hands-on experience, and welcomes applicants with lived experience and those identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. It suits people available across a 24/7 roster, including mornings, evenings and sleepover shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised care to clients of all ages, helping them with personal care, daily living skills and emotional support.
• Plan and attend appointments, school activities or social outings to build skills and inclusion.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment for children while supporting adults to stay independent.
• Complete daily case notes, incident reports and other administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in a care or support role; lived experience is encouraged.
• Current NSW driver's licence and willingness to drive.
• A paid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and an NDIS Workers Check (NDISWC).
• Willingness to be listed on the Residential Care Workers Register (RCWR).
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Availability across a 24/7 roster.
• Applicants must hold valid, independent Australian working rights, as visa sponsorship is not offered.

• Pay of $36.22 - $39.53 per hour, plus casual/shift loadings under the SCHADS Award and 12% superannuation.
