Support Services Associate - Emergency Department

About the role

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is hiring a Support Services Associate for its Emergency Department in Fitzroy. This is a permanent full-time position paid on a monthly basis, working a rotating roster across all seven days of the week, from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. The role delivers efficient, responsive support that complements the clinical needs of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all support services tasks to meet activity, quality and service standards, following the established duties list
• Remove waste materials and restock consumables
• Carry out detailed cleaning of patient areas and all department facilities
• Deliver meals and beverages to patients
• Transport patients, beds and trolleys
• Respond to codes as required

Required profile

• Current Certificate III in Health (PSA or HAS)
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment
• Valid nationally coordinated criminal history check, or willingness to obtain one
• Willingness to undergo mandatory immunisations, including the flu vaccine

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
