Supply Chain Finance Analyst

About the role

Join Obela’s Finance team as a Supply Chain Finance Analyst, supporting the financial and operational performance of our Adelaide manufacturing site. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will provide analysis, reporting and cost‑accounting expertise to drive continuous improvement across Operations and Supply Chain.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly KPI and monthly financial reports, support month‑end close, forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning.
• Maintain accurate SAP master data, bill of materials and support new product costing and capital projects.
• Validate fixed‑asset, critical‑spare and inventory counts to ensure compliance with control requirements.
• Collaborate with Reporting & Planning, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to analyse performance versus budget, forecast and prior year.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and deliver actionable insights for decision‑making.
• Ensure standard costs are accurate and updated in line with approved policies.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• CPA/CA qualification or progress towards completion.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present financial information to stakeholders at all levels.

Required skills

• SAP B1 (ERP) experience – preferred but not essential.
• Proficiency in cost accounting and inventory control processes.
