Supply Chain and Logistics Manager

About the role

Northrop Grumman Australia is looking for a Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to lead the supply chain function during a critical phase of the C-27J fleet's lifecycle, covering long-term sustainment, repair priorities, obsolescence challenges and eventual fleet withdrawal. The role leads teams across Springfield, Amberley and Richmond, sits on the Program Leadership Team and helps shape fleet availability and sustainment outcomes. It is based in NSW and offers hybrid working and a 9-day fortnight option.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the supply chain function through fleet sustainment, transition and withdrawal planning.
• Balance customer priorities, operational requirements and supply chain risks to support aircraft availability.
• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Program leadership to solve material availability, repairable asset and obsolescence challenges.
• Guide teams across Springfield, Amberley and Richmond, providing clear direction, accountability and support.
• Use data, reporting and analysis to drive decision-making and improve supply chain performance.
• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and contribute as a member of the Program Leadership Team.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance (mandatory).
• Experience leading supply chain, logistics or sustainment functions in a complex operational environment.
• Understanding of long-term planning, material availability, supplier performance and supporting critical assets through change.
• Comfortable working across multiple stakeholder groups and making informed decisions when priorities shift.
• An approachable leader who communicates openly and builds trust.
• Defence or aviation experience is highly regarded, but leaders from other highly regulated industries such as aerospace, rail, mining, resources, heavy maintenance and transport are also welcome.
