Supervisor, Accounting

About the role

The Supervisor, Accounting is a senior technical and delivery-focused position based in Sydney, supporting high‑level client interaction and quality assurance across accounting and tax services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular client contact, assist in managing relationships and participate in client meetings covering compliance, tax planning and business performance.
• Review financial statements and income tax returns (company, trust, partnership, individual) and provide technical guidance on tax law, CGT, small business concessions, FBT and GST.
• Support workflow coordination, deadline management and act as escalation point for technical and process queries.
• Mentor accountants and offshore team members, contributing to training and capability uplift.

Required profile

• 6–8 years’ experience in business services and taxation within public practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline and CPA or CA qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge, detail‑oriented problem‑solving and collaborative leadership style.

Required skills

• High‑level tax law expertise (income tax, CGT, GST, FBT).
• Experience reviewing financial statements and tax returns.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
