Subcontractor - Patrol Roadside Assistance (VIC)

About the role

Nationwide Group, Australia's largest provider of emergency roadside assistance and specialist towing and transport solutions, is seeking qualified Roadside Mechanic Subcontractors to provide roadside assistance services across Victoria. The opportunity suits people who run, or want to run, their own automotive business. Onboarding, dispatch support and access to work are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Attend roadside assistance call-outs and give mechanical support to motorists with vehicle issues
• Perform roadside diagnostics and mechanical assessments
• Provide battery jump starts and battery-related assistance
• Carry out tyre changes and roadside tyre assistance
• Handle vehicle lockouts and minor roadside mechanical repairs
• Use diagnostic equipment on modern vehicles
• Maintain tools, equipment and vehicle stock needed for roadside services

Required profile

• Qualified motor mechanic or automotive electrician
• Previous automotive mechanical experience
• Current C class driver's licence or higher
• Ability to provide roadside assistance independently
• Full Australian working rights; ABN and ACN, or willingness to obtain them
• Willingness to provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia and consent to a criminal record check
