Structural Engineer – Post‑Tensioned Concrete Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer with a focus on post‑tensioned concrete slab design and detailing. Based in either our Newcastle or Sydney office, you will lead project teams and own the technical delivery of structural projects across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and code‑compliant structural designs, specialising in post‑tensioned concrete.
• Produce analysis, modelling, and construction documentation from concept through to construction.
• Coordinate with architectural and services disciplines to ensure integrated solutions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for design coordination, client meetings, and site inspections.
• Manage project costings, monitor performance, and ensure budgets and schedules are met.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the structural team.
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on post‑tensioned concrete.
• Ability to lead projects independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong client‑facing skills and experience managing project budgets and timelines.
