About the role

Accenture Song is seeking an experienced Planning Director to lead and develop media planning as a distinct craft within the agency. You will connect strategy, planning and investment, ensuring strategic recommendations become clear, ambitious, and brilliantly executed media plans.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the media planning function, shaping the agency’s planning capability and tools.
• Collaborate deeply with strategy teams to translate insights into comprehensive media plans.
• Build and nurture strong publisher relationships and partnerships with creative and strategic teams.
• Attract, develop, and retain exceptional planning talent.
• Define modern media planning by integrating effectiveness theory, scenario planning, creativity, technology and AI.
• Identify and implement bespoke capabilities and workflows that accelerate outputs and time‑to‑market.

Required profile

• Proven planning leadership with award‑recognised work delivered to market.
• Deep expertise in marketing effectiveness theory and the ability to advise clients on its application.
• Ecosystem thinking with a cohesive understanding of all client touchpoints.
• Strong command of the science of media planning, including scenario planning.
• Established publisher relationships built on creative and strategic collaboration.
• Industry voice with a clear point of view and commitment to nurturing the next generation of planning talent.
