Strategic Sourcing Manager – Logistics

About the role

Join McDonald’s Australia as a Strategic Sourcing Manager for the Logistics category. You will shape the strategic plan for logistics, partner with key suppliers and the distribution network, and drive cost optimisation and risk management across Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the logistics strategic plan aligned with the broader supply‑chain strategy.
• Partner with the distribution provider and supplier network to ensure day‑to‑day collaboration and performance.
• Deliver cost optimisation, risk management and innovation outcomes for the category.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance frameworks, formal reviews and metrics tracking.
• Develop pricing protocols and commercial strategies with key suppliers.
• Lead monthly budget and performance reviews and report to senior business leaders.
• Influence cross‑functional stakeholders in Operations, Finance and Planning.
• Support Owner/Operators, set supplier expectations and drive alignment.
• Identify improvement opportunities through data insights and benchmarking.
• Lead change and crisis management, ensuring clear communication across the network.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial, procurement or supply‑chain environments.
• Category experience in logistics, food or packaging.
• Exposure to supplier management and operations environments.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and build relationships.
• Demonstrated success driving business results.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
