Store Manager Couple - Remote Supermarket

About the role

Randstad is recruiting retail couples to run remote supermarkets for ALPA (Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation), Australia's largest First Nations corporation, in the Northern Territory. As a Store Manager Couple, you will lead the operation of a remote supermarket, support community development and mentor local team members.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and financial performance of ALPA supermarkets in remote settings
• Coach, mentor and support local team members to build community capacity
• Promote healthier food choices to members in line with ALPA's nutrition policy
• Work with merchandising and nutrition teams to maintain high standards of stock and service
• Engage with community leaders so the store meets local needs
• Maintain a smooth-running retail environment through stock control and scheduling

Required profile

• A resilient, culturally aware leadership duo with a background in high-volume retail and a passion for people development
• At least 2 years' experience as a retail manager
• Certificate III in Retail, or a genuine willingness to complete it within the first 12 months
• Ability to thrive in remote or regional settings

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of electronic retail systems, including POS, stock control and staff scheduling
• Proven ability to manage a diverse team and drive positive community outcomes
