Stock Agent - Livestock Sales

About the role

Elders is looking for a Stock Agent to join its Emerald / Clermont team on a permanent, full-time basis. As Stock Agent you will be the trusted advisor and main point of contact for livestock clients in the region, working with local producers and the wider branch team to support on-farm success through livestock sales, general merchandise, nutrition and supplement products, and animal health solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, service-based relationships with livestock clients
• Assess livestock on farm and prepare sale listings
• Facilitate sales through auctions, paddock sales, feedlot programs or online platforms
• Give clients accurate market insights and price expectations
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across agency, finance, insurance and retail
• Keep up to date with livestock markets, trends and seasonal factors

Required profile

• Previous experience in livestock handling (e.g. station or feedlot work) or sales processing
• Current driver's licence and selling licence (or willingness to obtain one)
• Proof of Q-Fever vaccination or immunity, or willingness to obtain it
• Genuine passion for rural communities and the agriculture industry
