State Field Sales Manager – NSW/QLD

About the role

At Nestlé Purina we create richer lives for pets and their owners. We are looking for an inspiring, results‑driven State Field Sales Manager to lead our NSW/QLD field sales team and deliver the pet channel plan across Metcash and Pet Specialty customers. Based in Sydney, you will report to the National Field Sales Manager and shape state performance while developing future talent.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing field sales team, driving capability, accountability and execution excellence.
• Translate national strategies into clear state priorities across NSW/QLD.
• Deliver sales growth, distribution, ranging and in‑store execution across Metcash and Pet Specialty customers.
• Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships to drive sustainable commercial outcomes.
• Use insights to identify opportunities, solve challenges and improve field performance.
• Partner cross‑functionally to bring business priorities to life in‑store.
• Maintain a regular field presence across NSW/QLD, including regional and overnight travel.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in FMCG, field sales, customer development or account management, ideally within pet care or a related consumer category.
• Proven ability to coach and develop high‑performing teams.
• Experience working across complex retail environments, ideally Metcash, independent grocery and Pet Specialty.
• Strong track record delivering sales, distribution, ranging and execution outcomes.
• Strong commercial acumen, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical capability with experience using reporting and business tools.
• Willingness to travel regularly across NSW/QLD, including regional and overnight travel.
