Staff Software Engineer

About the role

The Staff Software Engineer will own technical direction and execution for major products and systems, working hands‑on to design, code, and drive critical engineering work from idea to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute technical solutions for large‑scale backend, frontend, APIs, databases and infrastructure.
• Lead architecture decisions, balancing speed, scalability, reliability, cost and maintainability.
• Turn ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans and deliver them.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering quality through better design, testing, security and observability.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Proven track record of leading major engineering projects from design through production.
• Ability to make sound technical trade‑offs and solve complex production problems.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in backend development.
• Strong frontend development knowledge.
• Experience with distributed systems and APIs.
• Proficiency with databases and cloud infrastructure.
• System design and architecture skills.
