Speech Pathologist (NDIS)

About the role

Ability Action Australia's Gold Coast team, which has supported NDIS participants since 2021, is looking for a Speech Pathologist. The role combines work across home, school, telehealth and the community with a multi-disciplinary team, based near Ashmore. It is open to part-time or full-time candidates, with a minimum of 3 days per week and no weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and deliver therapy services in a timely, impactful way.
• Use clinical observations and standardised assessments to set therapy goals.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that improve quality of life.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including OTs, physiotherapists, psychologists and behaviour support practitioners.
• Mentor junior clinicians (for experienced therapists).
• Ensure compliance with current NDIS requirements.

Required profile

• Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Post-graduate experience as a Speech Pathologist.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• A proactive, growth-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
