Specialist Consultant – Defence

About the role

Join Brunel's Defence team in Perth as a Specialist Consultant, driving recruitment for the defence sector across Australia and globally. You will manage end‑to‑end recruitment, build talent pools and advise clients on market trends.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with defence clients to understand their recruitment needs.
• Identify new contacts, manage recruitment processes from start to finish, and build talent pools of contractor and permanent talent.
• Source, screen, interview candidates and provide expert advice on market trends, salary benchmarks and candidate availability.
• Conduct reference checks and background verifications, ensuring a smooth experience for both clients and candidates.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in recruitment consultancy, preferably within engineering, manufacturing or defence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and candidates.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proactive problem‑solver committed to delivering high‑quality service.

Required skills

• Proficiency with recruitment software and tools for managing candidate databases.
