Sous Chef – Hotel Kitchen Leadership

About the role

Join Sheraton’s culinary team as a Sous Chef, supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and ensuring high‑quality food production. You will act as a connector and facilitator, coordinating with the culinary team to deliver excellent guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise daily with the culinary team on food production, set‑ups and event timings.
• Assist the Head Chef in maintaining quality, consistency and attention to detail across your section.
• Maintain organisational standards to keep the kitchen clean and efficient throughout service periods.
• Understand guest requirements and deliver service excellence for each customer.
• Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
• Contribute creatively to menu design and outlet concepts.

Required profile

• Trade Industry Qualification or completion of a Commercial Cookery Qualification.
• Passion for the hospitality industry and relevant experience in a similar role.
• Legal working rights in Australia.
• Enthusiastic about career progression and self‑motivated in a fast‑paced environment.
• Can‑do attitude with smart problem‑solving skills.
