Sous Chef - Full Time

About the role

Holiday Inn Perth City Centre is looking for a full-time Sous Chef to work alongside the Head Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You will lead a team, help shape menus and grow within a global hotel brand.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations and support the Head Chef
• Ensure high food quality, consistency and presentation
• Manage stock, ordering and food cost control
• Maintain food safety and HACCP standards
• Coach and develop colleagues
• Help with rostering and workforce planning
• Work with other departments to deliver seamless service and step in wherever needed

Required profile

• 3+ years' experience as a Sous Chef or similar in a high-volume kitchen
• Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred)
• Food Safety Supervision Certificate (preferred)
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Solid understanding of food safety, HACCP and compliance standards
• Stock management and food cost control
