Solutions Consultant

About the role

The Solutions Consultant bridges engineering and business outcomes, delivering secure, reliable solutions across client environments. You will own work from design through handover, solve complex problems, and interact directly with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and support server, network, Microsoft 365, Azure, backup and endpoint solutions with thorough scoping, testing, documentation and handover.
• Act as escalation point for complex infrastructure issues, providing calm diagnosis, sound judgement and clear communication.
• Identify risks and improve client environments using monitoring, documentation and evidence.
• Explain technical options in plain language, manage expectations from initial conversation to final handover.
• Provide onsite support for faults, installations, go‑lives and office moves.
• Share knowledge, contribute to internal documentation and collaborate with service, project and client‑facing teams.

Required profile

• Approximately three years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure or systems administration, preferably in an MSP or consulting environment.
• Strong communication skills, ability to take ownership and think beyond immediate faults.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence, reliable transport and willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.

Required skills

• Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Microsoft 365 administration, Intune and Autopilot.
• Azure virtual machines, storage and identity services.
• Networking fundamentals: VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, switching, routing and TCP/IP.
• Experience with RMM, monitoring, backup and ticketing platforms.
