Solicitor / Senior Associate - Securitisation & Structured Finance

About the role

HWL Ebsworth is recruiting a Solicitor or Senior Associate for its Banking & Finance practice, which is led by recently appointed partner Chris Trudinger. The opportunity sits at the start of the practice's build-out, with direct access to the partner, hands-on experience and genuine advancement. The role covers securitisation, structured finance and other sophisticated financing structures.

Key responsibilities

• Advise a broad range of market participants on securitisation, structured finance and sophisticated financing transactions
• Work on high-profile deals across dynamic, growing market segments
• Structure and manage complex financing transactions

Required profile

• Admitted lawyer with experience from Solicitor to Senior Associate level
• Experience in a reputable Banking & Finance, Capital Markets or Structured Finance practice
• Exposure to securitisation, structured finance, debt capital markets, derivatives or other complex funding transactions
• For more senior candidates: ability to take ownership of matters, mentor junior lawyers, engage with clients and contribute to the direction of a growing team

Required skills

• Strong drafting, analytical and technical legal skills
• Ability to manage transaction workstreams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
• Commercial mindset and understanding of key financial markets concepts
