Software Engineer II – AI‑augmented FinTech Development

About the role

Flywire is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the StudyLink team, building cloud‑based admissions and payments solutions for universities worldwide. You will work with advanced AI development tools to create secure, scalable fintech software.

Key responsibilities

• Direct AI tools to analyse, refactor and generate clean, testable code across complex system components.
• Design, build and maintain high‑quality, scalable features with end‑to‑end ownership.
• Validate AI‑generated and peer code against performance, security and FinTech compliance requirements.
• Collaborate globally with architects, product, SRE and security teams to deliver reliable solutions.
• Support client implementations, resolve technical requests and drive continuous improvement throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong computer science fundamentals and experience with cloud‑based software development.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment on complex technical bugs and production issues.
• Commitment to collaborative problem solving and pragmatic design.

Required skills

• Experience with AI‑augmented development tools (e.g., Claude Code) for code analysis and generation.
• Knowledge of FinTech security standards and best practices.
• Proficiency in database performance tuning and data structure validation.
