Software Engineer - Homepass

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to play a key role in delivering our Homepass strategy by developing high-quality, reliable, and scalable software across mobile and API platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the full lifecycle of small to medium‑sized projects, from design through production support.
• Architect and implement scalable, reliable solutions for real‑estate agents, including APIs, async workers, and third‑party integrations.
• Lead legacy modernisation work incrementally while maintaining system stability.
• Provide on‑call support and address issues raised through internal or customer channels.

Required profile

• Experience working in cross‑functional teams alongside product and design.
• Experience building and operating backend services in production, including REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.

Required skills

• Strong TypeScript across frontend and backend.
• React Native or React.
• Node.js backend development.
• MongoDB or other document databases.
• AWS (including dashboards, deployment pipelines; CDK or EKS a plus).
• Testing discipline: unit, integration, end‑to‑end testing in CI pipelines.
• Async messaging patterns (e.g., SQS, event‑driven architecture).
• Application security practices (OWASP).
