Software Engineer – Digital Identity Verification

About the role

Join the ConnectID team at AP+ to design, build and maintain secure, scalable software that powers digital identity verification in Australia. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with product, architecture and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document and maintain software components and APIs using Java, Spring Boot and React.
• Collaborate with product and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver customer‑focused solutions.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration and end‑to‑end automated tests and incorporate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain code quality through secure coding practices, refactoring, code reviews and clear documentation.
• Use AI‑powered development tools to support coding, testing, refactoring and documentation while ensuring engineering quality and security.
• Support customer onboarding and integration by troubleshooting technical issues directly with external customers.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software development experience with Java, TypeScript or C#.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining APIs and software components.
• Proficiency with Git, branching, pull requests and collaborative workflows.
• Experience working in agile, cross‑functional teams.
