About the role
The Secretariat of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) is looking for a Developer to join its Data and Information Systems (DIS) team in Hobart. You will work on a variety of tasks across software development, DevOps and database administration, supporting the organisation’s digital transformation and marine conservation mission.
Key responsibilities
- Build APIs and microservices using Go.
- Develop responsive user interfaces with React.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines and manage infrastructure.
- Administer and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of experience in similar roles.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a multicultural environment.
- Commitment to CCAMLR’s mission and equal‑opportunity values.
Required skills
- Software development, DevOps, or database development/administration.
- Experience with Go, React, SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Jira and Confluence.
- Understanding of cyber‑security and AI best practices.
