About the role

HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for a friendly social volunteer to spend one hour each week with a lady who speaks English and Russian. She values companionship and conversation, keeps her mind active with puzzles, enjoys a bit of shopping, plays games on her phone and would love to share stories and everyday moments with a volunteer.

Key responsibilities

Visit the lady once a week for about 30 minutes to 1 hour
Enjoy a coffee and chat, talk about life, help with a puzzle or simply spend quality time together
Share stories, laughter and everyday moments with her

Required profile

Aged 18 or older
National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
Availability Monday to Sunday, between 9am and 4pm, with flexible times
