Social Media Producer - Morning TV

About the role

Seven Media Group (SMG) is looking for a Social Media Producer to help shape the digital content of 7's Morning TV programmes, Sunrise, Weekend Sunrise and The Morning Show. You will turn the day's biggest news stories into engaging content for audiences on social and video platforms, working alongside producers, hosts and editors. It suits someone early in their career who combines a passion for news with a deep understanding of digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create and publish Morning TV content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and other social platforms.
• Create digital-first content, including sponsored content and brand integrations.
• Edit video content for social media, including vertical video, reels, shorts and long-form formats.
• Work with producers, hosts and editors to find content opportunities from on and off air.
• Help grow audiences, engagement and viewership across the social channels.
• Monitor trends, audience behaviour and platform performance to inform content decisions.
• Contribute ideas for new formats, series and storytelling approaches.
• Support coverage of major news events and breaking stories.

Required skills

• Video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Confidence working across digital platforms.
