Social Media & Content Manager

About the role

This senior position sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, shaping the social narrative for a leading Australian insurance brand. You will manage high‑profile sports partnerships such as the FIFA World Cup and the upcoming Olympics while driving brand‑level content pillars.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the social media content calendar, aligning activity with business priorities, campaigns and cultural moments.
• Develop and execute content across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube, including shooting and editing low‑fi assets.
• Brief and collaborate with a top‑tier agency for sports partnership campaigns.
• Deliver campaigns on schedule and budget, providing monthly performance reports and data‑driven recommendations.
• Support crisis communications and issue escalation within brand and regulatory frameworks.
• Provide executive thought‑leadership support for a senior C‑suite leader.
• Leverage AI tools daily for content creation, scripting and insights.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of pure social media experience, either in‑house or at an agency at AD level.
• Proven ability to create content hands‑on, not just direct others.
• Strong stakeholder management and confidence presenting to senior leaders.
• Demonstrated success creating TikTok content and managing other social channels.
• Background in a larger, listed or corporate environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Canva.
• Proficiency with CapCut.
• Experience using analytics and community‑management tools.
• Daily use of AI content‑creation tools.
