SOC Manager – Lead Security Operations Centre

About the role

Join Sedgwick as a SOC Manager to lead a 24x7x365 Security Operations Centre, overseeing monitoring, incident response and the continuous improvement of global security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of SOC Analysts responsible for 24x7 security monitoring and response.
• Oversee investigations, incident response, post‑incident reviews and tabletop exercises.
• Develop and maintain SOC playbooks, policies, procedures and operating guidelines.
• Drive automation and workflow improvements to enable analysts to focus on complex threats.
• Create metrics, KPIs and scorecards to measure risk and SOC effectiveness.
• Collaborate with security engineering, threat assessment and IT teams to enhance tool usage and coverage.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and talent pipeline development for SOC staff.
• Participate in after‑hours rotation for critical incidents.

Required profile

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, focused on security monitoring, detection and response.
• Proven leadership of high‑performing technical teams in global or 24x7 environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities for time‑sensitive incidents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to convey technical concepts to all audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; certifications such as GCIH, GDAT, GCED, Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate or CISSP are highly regarded.
