Skilled Bench Hand - Coal Mine Site (Gunnedah Basin)

About the role

A client, Australia's largest independent coal producer and the leading coal producer in north-west New South Wales, is looking for a skilled bench hand for a position at a mine site in the Gunnedah Basin. Multiple positions are available, but only local candidates are considered. The work is day-shift only on a 7/7 roster, with 12.5-hour shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Blast site preparation by clearing, marking and setting up exclusion zones
• Manual handling, loading and unloading material, blast accessories and tools
• Assisting drill and blast crew move equipment, lay out detonators, hoses and downlines under supervision
• General labouring and preparation

Required profile

• 1 year of experience in a similar role
• UHL/Explosives licence
• Police check
• Willingness to undergo a full Order 45 medical
• Dangerous goods licence is preferable but not essential
