Site Supervisor - Remedial Waterproofing Construction

About the role

An established specialist construction business is looking for a hands-on Site Manager / Site Supervisor for its Sydney operations, working with an experienced Project Management team on multiple remedial construction projects. The role is predominantly site-based, with office attendance about once per week, and suits someone who has directly managed waterproofing crews rather than only coordinating subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise and manage waterproofing crews across several sites
• Plan and allocate labour according to project requirements and budgets
• Monitor labour hours, productivity and costs to keep projects profitable
• Coordinate resources across projects and stages of work
• Provide technical guidance, training and support to site teams
• Oversee waterproofing installations, workmanship and quality standards
• Review timesheets, approve labour hours and monitor weekly labour reports
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers on progress, budgets and site needs
• Build client relationships and identify opportunities for additional work

Required profile

• Proven experience directly managing labour crews (essential)
• Experience managing multiple projects at once
• Ability to manage labour budgets, workforce allocation and productivity
• Strong commercial awareness of project profitability
• Confidence leading, mentoring and motivating site teams
• Waterproofing licence advantageous but not essential; formal project management qualifications not essential
