Site Supervisor

About the role

Barpa, an Indigenous-owned construction company operating across Australia, is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead work fronts, coordinate trades and ensure safe, efficient project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors across assigned work fronts.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to quality standards.
• Drive compliance with HSE requirements, SWMS, toolbox talks and site procedures.
• Monitor subcontractor productivity and raise programme or quality concerns as needed.
• Maintain short-term construction programmes aligned with the master schedule.
• Coordinate plant, materials and trade sequencing to minimise delays.
• Support quality inspections, defect management and non-conformance rectification.
• Manage day-to-day stakeholder interactions including subcontractors, consultants and the public.
• Assist with site administration such as meeting minutes, HSE records and QA documentation.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience in commercial construction.
• Relevant tertiary qualification, trade qualification or strong industry experience.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple work fronts while maintaining programme productivity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Proactive identification and escalation of construction, design or safety risks.
• Leadership and team-collaboration capability.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to use a variety of software.
