Site Supervisor (Carpentry Tools) - Commercial

About the role

Ascot Group, a leading construction company, is looking for two Site Supervisors (on the tools) for its Commercial and Projects division in Melbourne, Victoria. These are full-time positions involving hands-on carpentry work and strong leadership, with travel across Greater Melbourne and occasional regional work.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction teams to meet project timelines and quality standards
• Work on the tools as a carpenter
• Delegate tasks, monitor progress and guide team members
• Identify and resolve on-site issues and ensure safety protocols and environmental regulations are followed
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to improve construction processes
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation

Required profile

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
• Industry White Card (a former Red Card is acceptable)
• Full Victorian driver's licence (or recognised equivalent)
• Access to a full kit of reliable trade tools, including a vehicle that can carry materials
• Extensive carpentry or equivalent trade experience
• Demonstrated experience supervising and managing construction projects across multiple trades and sites
• Understanding of the end-to-end build process and OHS site requirements

Required skills

• Ability to prioritise, schedule work, manage a diary and work to tight timeframes
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
