Site Superintendent (S26) – 8/6 Roster – Perth

About the role

KAEFER is seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to lead mechanical activities on a major Tier 1 mining project in the Pilbara region. The role is based in Perth and operates on an 8/6 roster until March 2027, providing technical oversight, coordination and leadership across multiple work fronts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all mechanical activities across the project site.
• Maintain a safe work environment in line with KAEFER’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Coordinate resources, scheduling and daily activities to ensure efficient execution and accurate progress reporting.
• Manage subcontractor performance, compliance and work quality.
• Coach, mentor and provide technical support to supervisors and frontline teams.
• Organise direct labour efficiently to achieve project outcomes.
• Promote strong communication and collaboration with staff, clients and stakeholders.
• Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement actions.

Required profile

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Certificate III) – mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in mechanical maintenance, shutdowns or heavy industry.
• Hold a Section 26 (S26) qualification to be appointed as a supervisor.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and continuously improve technical and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CMMS systems (SAP).
