Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

FIS is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support high‑availability applications for major banking clients in the APAC region. The role combines independent problem‑solving with collaboration across global and companion teams.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure scalability, high availability, performance, stability and reliability of software applications.
• Build automation to simplify operations, create dashboards and alerts, and support end‑user experience.
• Apply engineering principles, operational discipline and mature automation to the operating environment and codebase.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role.
• Experience with cloud‑based infrastructure such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux, Kubernetes management, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.

Required skills

• Azure Metrics, Log Analytics, CloudWatch, Cloud Guard, and dashboard/alert creation.
• Linux command‑line proficiency.
• Kubernetes deployment strategies, Helm and Helm chart development.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
• Shell scripting and automation of repetitive tasks.
• KQL query creation for Log Analytics.
• Collaboration tools: Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence.
