Job description

About the role

Liontown Limited, an ASX-listed battery minerals company, is looking for an experienced Site Planner for its Kathleen Valley Lithium Project in Western Australia. The role provides site-based planning and scheduling support to KVEP, giving the Construction Manager, Project Managers, Project Engineers and Construction Superintendents clear schedule insight. It leads interface planning for brownfields scopes, validates contractor schedule updates and supports the contracts team in assessing claims. The role reports to the Project Controls Manager and works closely with the Senior Planner and the site construction team.

Key responsibilities

  • Build relationships with the project delivery team, operations team and contracting partners, aligning on scope, expectations and delivery.
  • Provide accurate schedule insight and reporting to the site construction team, including look-ahead and short-interval planning, and communicate critical path activities.
  • Lead interface planning for brownfields scopes, coordinating schedules between operating facilities and construction, including shutdown periods, and integrate construction-to-commissioning sequencing and handover planning.
  • Validate contractor schedule updates for logic, progress and accuracy, monitor total float, verify claimed progress and resource/manning histograms, and interpret contractor planning performance data.
  • Update the Senior Planner so the Master Schedule reflects site progress, key interfaces and impacts on other projects.
  • Support the contracts team in assessing claims, including schedule and delay analysis.

Required profile

  • Previous site planning experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline; a trade or technical background with relevant planning experience is desirable.
  • Construction white card.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical, National Police Clearance and drug and alcohol screen.
  • Current WA C class driver's licence desirable for site access.

Required skills

  • Planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project applied to construction projects.
  • Experience in greenfields and brownfields construction, with knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing.
  • Understanding of the project management lifecycle, from planning and procurement through construction, commissioning and close-out.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.

What we offer

  • 12-month maximum term contract on a 2:1, 12-hour roster.
  • Competitive remuneration package.
  • A long-term, stable career with a fully funded, production-stage operation.
  • A collaborative, values-driven team culture where safety and sustainability are non-negotiable.

Applicants submit a resume and a brief cover letter outlining their relevant experience; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
