Health & Safety Advisor – Lithium Mine Expansion

About the role

Liontown Limited, an ASX-listed battery minerals company, is expanding its Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation in Western Australia. It is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join the expansion construction project on an 18-month maximum-term contract, reporting to the Project WHS Superintendent. The role provides frontline WHS support across active construction work fronts, with a 2:1 roster flying in and out on Friday mornings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day WHS advisory support across construction work fronts, including high-risk construction activities
• Conduct workplace inspections, observations and compliance audits against the Project WHS Management Plan and contractor SWMS
• Take part in and support incident investigations using the ICAM methodology
• Review contractor Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and give feedback
• Maintain WHS records, registers and reporting in line with Liontown's systems
• Promote a positive safety culture through visible leadership, engagement and coaching at the work front

Required profile

• 8 years' WHS experience in mining construction, structural mechanical piping (SMP) or other heavy industry environments
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419 or equivalent) as a minimum
• Prior experience in or close collaboration with mechanical maintenance fitters, boilermakers or fabricators
• Qualification and practical experience as an ICAM Lead Investigator
• Current Construction Induction Card (White Card) and Provide First Aid certificate
• Current Western Australian C Class driver's licence
• Able to obtain a National Police Clearance within three months and pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
