Site Manager - Residential Construction

About the role

Metricon Homes, Australia's largest home builder, is recruiting a Site Manager to run a busy residential construction site in Hervey Bay and surrounding suburbs. Reporting to the Building Support Manager, the Site Manager manages the site's operations so that trades meet quality, timelines and OH&S objectives, and delivers defect-free homes. The role also involves being the main point of contact for clients during the build.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and run the site independently, overseeing the overall performance of the home construction process
• Act as the primary client contact during the build and ensure the overall execution and quality finish of homes
• Maximise site production by ensuring subcontract trade availability and scheduling trades on site
• Proactively resolve build issues and liaise with clients
• Review building practices and procedures, and ensure compliance with cost management and project management practices
• Foster a positive, customer-focused culture and hand over keys and the settlement pack to customers

Required profile

• Must have experience as a Site Manager in the residential building industry
• Cert IV in Construction and a valid QBCC license
• Experience developing and managing networks with trades
• Customer focus, strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Well versed in new homes contracts, able to prioritise, meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail
