Roof Plumber – Metal Roofing Specialist

About the role

2coms is recruiting experienced Roof Plumbers who specialise in metal roofing to join reputable Australian construction and roofing companies across regional Queensland. The role suits candidates with hands-on experience installing, maintaining and repairing metal roofing systems on residential, commercial and industrial projects. Tile roofing experience only is not considered.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain metal roofing systems, including corrugated iron, Colorbond and other sheet metal products.
• Measure, cut, shape and fit metal roofing materials to project specifications.
• Install roof drainage systems such as gutters, downpipes, flashings and rainwater goods.
• Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings and specifications.
• Inspect completed work for defects, leaks or maintenance needs.
• Ensure installations meet Australian building standards and safety requirements.
• Work safely at heights with appropriate PPE and coordinate with site supervisors and other trades.

Required profile

• Proven hands-on experience as a Roof Plumber or Metal Roof Installer, including gutter, flashing and drainage work.
• Experience on residential, commercial or industrial roofing projects.
• Relevant trade qualification or equivalent practical experience highly regarded.
• Physical fitness and confidence working at heights; willingness to relocate to regional Australia.

Required skills

• Accurate measuring and interpretation of technical drawings and plans.
• Knowledge of metal roofing materials, installation methods and finishing techniques.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
