Site Manager

About the role

We are seeking an energetic, self‑motivated Site Manager to lead all manufacturing operations at our Pakenham facility. Reporting to the Regional General Manager, you will ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable production of high‑quality animal nutrition products.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace by identifying, assessing and mitigating risks in line with OHS&E standards.
• Plan and allocate resources to meet production targets, quality assurance, budget control and labour requirements.
• Drive site production to deliver finished goods on time, to specification and in full.
• Manage site costs within the approved budget.
• Oversee customer service activities, including enquiry and complaint handling.
• Control inventory and ensure accurate administration processes.
• Lead, develop and coach site staff to build a reliable team.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives across all site functions.
• Achieve required financial outcomes and uphold accountability and integrity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in food or stock‑feed manufacturing with exposure to plant management and process automation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop employees in a production environment.
• Strong background in production planning, control and measurement methodologies.
• Solid understanding of OHS&E, quality assurance and statutory management standards.
• Knowledge of safety & quality management systems, HR and EEO requirements.
• Experience with stock control and inventory management.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally.
