Site Manager - Dairy Manufacturing

About the role

Lactalis Australia is looking for an experienced, commercially minded Site Manager to lead its manufacturing operation in Lidcombe, NSW. Reporting to the Industrial Director, Beverages & Milk, you will drive operational excellence, safety, quality and continuous improvement across the site. You will hold overall accountability for manufacturing, packaging, maintenance, engineering, quality assurance (including laboratory operations), workplace health and safety and the site's financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall performance of the manufacturing site, achieving operational objectives safely, efficiently and sustainably.
• Ensure all products are made on time and to the highest quality standards.
• Drive a culture of safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Develop strategies to improve efficiency, productivity and cost performance.
• Lead, coach and develop a leadership team and the wider workforce.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, environmental, quality and food safety requirements.
• Manage the site's budget, cost control, capital investment planning, productivity improvements and profit and loss outcomes.
• Introduce modern manufacturing practices, systems and technologies.

Required profile

• Senior manufacturing leader with a strong track record in a complex industrial environment.
• Tertiary qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science or a related discipline highly regarded.
• At least five years in a senior manufacturing leadership role in Dairy, Food Manufacturing or FMCG.
• Experience managing large-scale operations covering production, maintenance, warehousing and logistics.
• Experience managing operational budgets, cost control and continuous improvement projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food manufacturing compliance, including GMP, HACCP, WHS and regulatory standards.
• Stakeholder management, negotiation and change management.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
